In the first stage of the Volleyball World Cup 2022 (until October 2), the teams were divided into four groups of 6 teams. The Polish women are in Group B, the first match will be played in Arnhem (September 23 against Croatia) and the other four in Gdańsk.
In the second phase of the World Cup, the competition will be held in two consecutive groups (E, F) with the participation of the top 16 teams (matches in Rotterdam and Łódź), which will include the results of the first round. Four of them will qualify for the knockout stage (until 11/09) – the quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place in Apeldoorn and Gliwice. M
The medal games for the Volleyball Women’s World Cup (15.10) are scheduled in Arnhem.
There is no shortage of candidates for the 2022 Volleyball World Cup gold medal. In this year’s World League, the Americans won the group stage (11 wins in 12 matches), but they were quickly knocked out in the finals. In the end, the gold was won by the Italians, who prevailed with Brazil in the final. Serbia, the best women’s team in recent years, was ranked third. Balkan Team Defends 2018 Title; since then she has won gold (2019) and silver (2021) at the European Championships, and at last year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo she came back with bronze (the Americans won then) . To this group of candidates for the medal are added Turkey, Japan and China. Surprises cannot be ruled out either.
