“We must provide Poland with the necessary electricity”
The President of Ukraine also spoke of the strong support of the “Polish brothers during the autumn-winter period”. He said he recommends speeding up the reconstruction of the energy connection between Poland and Ukraine. The Ukrainian leader announced that the reconstruction of the transmission line of the Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant should be completed in early December.
– I ordered to speed up the reconstruction of the transmission line from the Chmielnicki power station to Rzeszów. It is a “guarded city”. Let me remind you that this special title was awarded to the city of Rzeszów for its invaluable help to Ukraine. We must complete the reconstruction by December 8 and provide Poland with the necessary electricity – the Ukrainian leader stressed.
Volodymyr Zelensky added that Poland’s energy support would be possible if Ukraine regains control of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
