Decathlon Polska decided to take advantage of the change from summer time to winter time and encourage jogging instead of sleeping an extra hour.
– Until now, every year, at the end of October, all Poles have set their clocks back to 2 a.m. at 3 a.m. We want it to be different this year. At 2 o’clock we will go to train for an hour, and when we come back it will still be 2 o’clock in the morning. This is our answer to the main obstacle of the Poles in the practice of sport. We hope there will be daredevils to take advantage of the extra hour. We already have one: it’s Marcin Lewandowski – says Piotr Szeleszczuk, Marketing Director of Decathlon Polska.
Who is Marcin Lewandowski
Marcin Lewandowski is a Polish athlete, specialist in medium races and bronze medalist at the 1500m world championships in Doha, Qatar. On the night of October 29-30, at 2 a.m., he will go jogging, and he will talk about the training on his social media profile. The athlete also encourages others to be active.
– All the ways to encourage Poles to play sports are good, and this one is not only good, but also crazy. I can’t wait to jog at 2 am. I hope that I will not be alone in this case. I strongly encourage you to upload recordings or photos of the #DobaDlaSport race on social media and tag @Decathlon_Polska – said Marcin Lewandowski.
