The Polish representatives at the current world championships are in great shape. Stefano Lavarini’s players have so far lost just one set, beating Croatia 3-1 at the opening. On Tuesday, the white and red players gave the Thai players no chance, beating them in three matches. This gave the hosts second place in Group B after two rounds.

On Wednesday, the Poles will play for the third victory, and their rivals will be representatives of South Korea. Earlier in GdaĆsk Ergo Arena two meetings took place in the “Polish” group. Thailand beat Croatia 3-0 without a problem. In second match Turkish women battled for victory against the so far undefeated Dominican Republic.
The first game was better for the leaders of Group B from the start. Although the Turks managed to draw (10:10) in time, five more actions were won by their rivals. The leaders do not let go of the victory and win 25:21. In the second game, Giovanni Guidetti’s players were in the lead on the court, which quickly took the lead. The ambitious pursuit of the opponents ended in a draw in the middle of the set (16:16). Volleyball players Dominican Republic but they didn’t follow suit, but of course Game allowed Turkey to win 25:21 and tie the competition.
The third edition is a concert featuring Turkish women from the very first balls. Leaders noted more series points that allowed them to build an ever greater advantage. It gave them a confident 25:18 win and a lead in the game. The Dominican volleyball players quickly made it clear that they had no intention of giving up victory easily. The strong opening of the fourth game (6: 1) overshadowed the Turkish women, who in later fragments were unable to fight off the fleeing rivals. The America players crushed their opponents at 16 and led to a tie-break.
The decisive match was very balanced from the start. First the Turkish women took the lead, then they let their rivals chase them away. Guidetti’s players came out at 10:7 after a five-game winning streak, but after a while the Dominican Republic were only one point behind. The point-for-point match that followed resulted in a 15:13 win for the Turkish volleyball players and resulted in the Dominican Republic’s first defeat.
The result of this match is very good news for the Poles. In case of victory with South Korea, which seems more than certain, they will take the lead in group B. For now, they are ranked 2nd with the achievement of six points. The Dominican volleyball players have retained the lead, and the Turks invariably complete the podium. The following places are occupied by the representations of Thailand, Korea and Croatia.
