Roman Topór-Mądry won the competition for the position of President of the Health Technology Assessment and Pricing Agency.
The competition for the position of President of the Health Technology Assessment and Pricing Agency, announced on October 6 by the Minister of Health, was won by Roman Topór-Mądry.
Previous tenure of the head of AOTMiT, which has been running since November 2017, expired yesterday (8 November) at midnight. The result of the competition announced by the Ministry of Health shows that Roman Topór-Mądrywill not have to resign and will lead the Agency for the next 5 years.

What does AOTMiT do?
Health Technology Assessment and Pricing Agency exists since 2005 and deals with the evaluation and valuation of health services. The agency has the status of an organizational unit of the state and legal personality. As part of its skills, it supports the Ministry of Health in the decision-making process concerning key decisions, namely the financing of public health system services, the amount of remuneration or the evaluation of the effectiveness and the level of reimbursement of specific therapies.
Who is the president of AOTMiT Roman Topór-Mądry?
Roman Topór-Mądry is a specialist in public health and epidemiology. From 2017, he exercises the function Chairman of the Health Technology Assessment and Pricing Agency. Prior to assuming the position of Head of AOTMiT, he was Deputy Director Institute of Public Health of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Jagiellonian University-Collegium Medicum.
In the past, Roman Topór-Mądry also held the position of provincial consultant in the field of public health in the province of Małopolska. He has also marked his presence by working in numerous consulting teams, including Ministry of Healthlearned societies, local governments, The European Commission and The World Bank.
