Revolut is going like a storm. Poles rush to his services

Revolut bragged about its latest achievement: it broke the cap of 25 million retail customers. Among them, more than 2 million are residents of Poland. The company plans to expand to other overseas markets.

Four months ago, in July 2022, Revolut reported about the crossing 20 million customers. He has since succeeded improve this result by 5 millionto which he contributed nearly half a million Poles. This is no small feat, considering that the fintech was created in 2015 and in previous years the increase in the number of customers was not so dynamic.

Initially, Revolut only offered a currency exchange app and international transfers. Today, more than 25 million of its customers use a much wider portfolio of servicessuch as free national and international transfers between individuals, disposable virtual cards with variable numbers for secure online purchases, applications and cards for children and adolescents or remunerated savings accounts. Revolut also gives you the option invest in cryptocurrencies, commodities or precious metals.

Over the past two years, fintech has entered new overseas markets, e.g. American. This year the number of customers in the United States has exceeded half a million, and the number of employees 150 people. Revolut plans to enter Brazil, India and New Zealand soon.

Customers are also joining Revolut Business – over 2,000 business customers are transferred to business accounts every week.

The statistics are also interesting acquisition of new customers after announcing crossing the threshold of 20 million customers in mid-July 2022:

  • Great Britain +1.1 million customers,
  • Poland +460k customers,
  • Romania +450k customers,
  • France +340K customers,
  • Spain +320k customers,
  • Ireland +230K customers,
  • United States +125k customers.

From these data it appears that In Poland, fintech services are used by 2.16 million customers, although the company did not provide exact statistics that would account for Revolut account closures. Among the customers registered in Poland may also be present many refugees from Ukraine – in July there were 50,000, in the following months this number must have increased.
