Fragments of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech, devoted to the conduct of a “special military operation” (as Russian propaganda calls the criminal attack on Ukraine), have appeared on social networks.
Commenting on the situation in Ukraine, Putin triumphantly announced that the Sea of Azov had become the internal sea of Russia (according to the Kremlin, the areas surrounding the sea belong to Russia, following illegal referendums).
Putin is happy with the “incorporation” of the territories of Ukraine
In his speech the president again evoked the figure of Tsar Peter the Great. The politician admitted that the “special military operation” seems like a “long process”, but the “attachment” of new territories is an important result of Moscow’s actions. – The Sea of Azov has just become part of the Russian Federation. This is serious business. Even Peter the Great fought for access to it – the politician explained.
– And the most important are those who live in this region (“attached” to Russia – editor’s note) – added the Russian leader. “The results of the referendum showed that these people want to be in Russia, they want to be part of our country, they see themselves as part of this world, part of this environment, this culture, this tradition and this language. “, Putin continued.
– This is the most important effect (of the war – ed.) that they are now with us. Millions of people – the president was happy.

“Putin thinks he’s cooler than Peter the Great to ‘incorporate’ territories and people into his ’empire’,” commented Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister. “It will lead to the final collapse of Russia,” added the politician.
Russia as guarantor of Ukraine’s security
During his speech, Putin also asserted that “the only real guarantor of Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its current borders could be Russia.”
The President also stressed once again that Warsaw wants to take advantage of the conflict and take part of Ukrainian territory.
“Nationalist elements in Poland dream of regaining the western territories that Ukraine won thanks to Stalin’s decisions after World War II,” Putin said.
