I don’t even know where to start…

I’m shaking as I write this…

Two days ago, December 27, 2022, the greatest tragedy of my life happened. There was a gas explosion in my family home. As a result of this event, the entire upper floor of the house collapsed. There were three people in the house at the time of the explosion – mum, dad and grandmother.

My mother was seriously injured in the explosion. Third degree burns covering approximately 30% of the body surface, respiratory tract burns. She is in intensive care in Siemianowice Śląskie, her condition is very serious, the doctors keep her in a pharmacological coma.

Dad has broken lower limbs, two broken vertebrae in his spine, and a broken hip. Doctors from the orthopedic department in Skierniewice are fighting to keep him an able-bodied man.

Grandmother was on the ground floor of the building at the time of the explosion. She miraculously escaped the incident with minor cuts. In the room where she was at the time of the explosion, almost the entire ceiling collapsed, except for where she was.

When I discovered this incident, I immediately went there. When I saw my family home – or rather what was left of it – I was convinced that my loved ones were dead… in my head I saw three coffins…

Miraculously, they made it out alive. The most important thing right now is that they get back to full health and have a place to go back to…

My parents and my grandmother lost almost all of their life possessions in a split second. With our closest family, we save what can be saved. The house is uninhabitable – as can be deduced from the photos – it is to be completely demolished…

I turn to you with a huge request for help! There’s a long road ahead of my parents to get back to full health, but I believe with all my might that they’ll get through this and everything will be fine. At the same time, I am aware that it will not be a straight road to follow, which is why Please help…

The scale of the damage is enormous, the costs of treating my relatives at the moment are very difficult to estimate – in time everything will become clear, at the moment it is too early…
