- January 1936, exactly 8️⃣ 7️⃣ years ago, a former Włókniarz Częstochowa player – Stanisław Rurarz was born. On the birthday of our club’s living legend, we wish you all the best, success and many healthy years. Once again, happy birthday Mr. Stanisław ‼ Stanisław Rurarz came to Włókniarz before the 1959 season from Śląsk Świętochłowice. He defended the colors white and green for 13 years, that is until 1971. During this period, he was the leader of our team on several occasions. He achieved his greatest success in 1959. At that time, together with the Włókniarz team, he won the first Polish team championship title in the history of our club. In the season in question, Rurarz was the most efficient pilot of “Lwów” – he scored 156 points. The same year, he obtained his best result in the final of the Polish individual championships.
