On July 4, 2021, Sunday, Kuba and a group of friends went climbing the popular Sokoliki and he was the only one who did not return from the trip in good health. Kuba fell 20 meters onto the rocks and fought for his life. Unfortunately, he suffered many internal injuries, not to mention numerous fractures and post-accident trauma. Fortunately, he won the fight for life, and now he is still fighting for his health and fitness.
Support fundraising for Kuba
After a year and a half, Kuba has undergone a total of six surgeries: his spine is artificially fixed to the pelvis with screws, he has undergone reconstruction of the urinary system and many other procedures. The tibia of the right leg is replaced by a rod. All this information came over time, and each of them took him further and further away from his greatest passions – sports and the mountains, but above all, also from work. For an athlete, it meant the end of his world – the passions he loved, for a man and a father, the end of independence and being a refuge for children and wife…
At the moment, there is only one operation left, we hope the last one (scheduled for March 9, 2023), which will give him at least to some extent the opportunity to return to “normality”, the possibility of working, to move, independence, which he has been fighting for since the accident, not for me, but for a family of two young children and a woman who lost him once that day. He had several orthopedic consultations, but it was the Warsaw Institute that offered the least invasive surgery, after which Kuba could walk on his own. Unfortunately, the ongoing rehabilitation and consultations have already exhausted his financial resources, and the operation, which will cause him the least amount of suffering and will give him the chance to undergo new ones, has become financially unaffordable. Kuba never wanted to ask for help, the most important thing for him is that he is alive for the second time, so we want to ask for help on his behalf.
