Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin attends the World Economic Forum in Davos. The event is a gathering of CEOs of the world’s wealthiest corporations, political leaders and selected intellectuals and journalists.
On Tuesday, the Minister of State Assets made official opening of the Polish House (Polish House). – This year, the opening of the Polish House takes place at a special time. (…) I would say that these circumstances are particularly difficult. For almost three years, Europe and the world have been stuck in constant, one-on-one crises, he said.
On Wednesday, the politician took part in a panel titled “The Path to European Energy Sovereignty”.
Sasin: You shouldn’t treat Putin’s Russia like that
– It must be said here that all those who have relativized Russian aggression and its effects, who have tried to explain or seek rational elements in Vladimir Putin’s policy, are jointly responsible for what is happening today in Ukraine. History has repeatedly proven that attempts to appease the aggressor always end the same – they mean encouragement to another aggression, new conquests, war – Deputy Prime Minister Jacek announced Sasin in his speech.
– It is a pity that so many politicians in so many important countries have not been able to learn from history and draw conclusions. Today they should do some soul-searching – he added.
The Minister of State Assets pointed out that the Polish government has warned its partners in Western Europe and the United States that “Putin’s Russia should not be treated as a normal participant in the international game”. “Russia cannot be treated as a reliable economic and political partner, as a state that respects the peace and freedom of other nations, that adheres to the rules of the democratic world,” he stressed.
