The point of sports news
Let’s start our overview with the football world cup. After a shaky start to the tournament, African countries scored their first three points with Senegal’s 3-1 victory over hosts Qatar. The other African victory is that of the Atlas Lions of Morocco for the second game against the Belgian bogeyman 2-0. Moroccans are doing well in this competition after a draw against Croatia, vice world champion in 2018. Morocco has a good chance of qualifying for the eighth finals.
Cameroon and Ghana were unlucky in their first matches. Cameroon was beaten 1-0 by Switzerland and Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal. Tunisia conceded a 0–0 draw against Denmark in the first match.
On the other hand, France is the first country to qualify for the round of 16 of the World Cup after winning the first two games against Australia and Denmark.
