XV of France, Women’s World Cup… The calendar for the sports year 2023 to download

You thought sports would be a bit sidelined football world cup and the 2024 Olympic Games ? It missed. The year 2023 will be rich, very rich in all kinds of competitions. Two will draw our particular attention: first, chronologically, the Women’s World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand between July and August, and where Corinne Deacon’s Bleues are dreaming of a first world title.

Then comes the big part: France is hosting for the first time since 2007 the rugby world championship. Antoine Dupont’s teammates will start on September 8 in the opening game at the Stade de France against New Zealand. A dream start before we hope to go all out and offer France its first ever Rugby World Cup on October 28 at the Stade de France.

The rest of the sports news will not be left behind: between the Football Champions League, the men’s and women’s world handball championships, the World Ski Championships hosted in France, the expectations behind the stars of French sport – Clarisse Agbégnénou, Teddy Riner, Léon Marchand, Kevin Mayer or Pauline Ferrand-Prévot – there will be plenty to do. Without counting as the highlight of the show the world basketball championship to be organized at the end of August, which could be the first international competition of the one then drafted in the NBA, Victor Wembanyama.
