Every year it is an event that football fans eagerly await. The Montaigu World Cup (Vendée) has become a major event to follow the future gems of football.

Matches across the department

There will be three tournaments taking place simultaneously, in which U16s will compete: the challenge for men nations with 8 teams, the challenge for women’s countries with 6 teams, the club challenge with 8 teams. In total, 22 teams are participating in the tournament. They come from 11 different countries and four continents are represented.

You don’t have to go to Montaigu itself to enjoy the show. There will be matches played in several cities in the department. In Les Sables-d’Olonne, spectators can enjoy various national men’s and women’s matches. Argentina, Mexico, Portugal and even the Netherlands will set foot on the sand lawns.

Other cities will host the tournament: Fontenay-le-Comte, Pouzauges, Boufféré, la Bernardière and Mormaison.

The World Cup in Montaigu will take place from Monday March 25 to Monday March 1^uh April. The girls will open the ball and the tournament will end with the men’s country finals.
