This year’s volleyball world championships will be held in Poland and Slovenia. The Poles will play a dual role – organizers and defenders of the title. The fight for the title of the best team in the world will take place from August 26 to September 11.
Volleyball World Championships. Division into groups and schedule of meetings
The event will bring together 26 teams, divided into six groups. Poland will play in Group C, where Nikola Grbić’s players will face Bulgaria on August 26 (8:30 p.m.). Two days later they will face Mexico (8:30 p.m.), on August 30 they will face the most dangerous team in the group of the United States (8:30 p.m.). The group stage fixtures will take place from August 26-31 at Spodek in Katowice and Arena Stozice in Ljubljana.

Volleyball World Championship Group Division
- Group A – Serbia, Tunisia, Ukraine, Puerto Rico (Katowice)
- Group B – Brazil, Japan, Cuba, Qatar (Lubljana)
- Group C – Poland, USA, Bulgaria, Mexico (Katowice)
- Group D – France, Germany, Slovenia, Cameroon (Lubljana)
- Group E – Italy, China, Turkey, Canada (Ljubljana)
- Group F – Iran, Argentina, Netherlands, Egypt (Ljubljana)
Two best teams from each group and four best teams from 3rd place will qualify for the 1/8 finals. The 1/8 finals are scheduled for September 3-6. These will take place in Ljubljana and Arena Gliwice. The quarter-finals will also take place in these halls, which will take place on September 7 and 8. The top four teams will travel to Katowice, where they will compete in the medal zone. The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, September 10. The final and the bronze medal game will take place on Sunday, September 11.

A total of 52 matches will be played during this year’s championship. All matches will be broadcast on the official tournament broadcaster, Telewizja Polsat.
