The fairytale event will take place next Saturday, April 20, at Maria Konopnicka’s mansion in Bronowo, Wartkowice municipality (Poddębice county). The local government of the Łódź Voivodeship invites you to the event “A World Like a Fairy Tale”. Many attractions await participants. Participation is free, but you must register in advance.
The event on Saturday, April 20 “The world as a fairy tale” will start at 1 p.m. at the mansion of Maria Konopnicka in Bronowo near Uniejów – The aim of the event is to promote the cultural values of the Łódź Voivodeship , promotion of cultural achievements of the Łódź region, cultural education, popularization of works and people Maria Konopnicka and the integration of residents of the Łódź region and the construction of local identity.
Organizers: Decors adapted from the manor park and the manor itself, decorative elements, props, actors dressed as fairy tale characters and children’s entertainers encouraging participation in games and activities are the components of the event. Everything will be enriched with numerous animations broadcast on LED screens, referring to the world of fairy tales.
The event in Bronów, inspired by the figure and work of Maria Konopnicka, will be educational, artistic and entertaining. The aim of the project will be to present the work of the writer addressed to the youngest, as well as to show the inhabitants of the Łódź voivodeship the beauty of the place where the author lived a very creative period in the years 1862- 1872. An important point of the program will be the inauguration ceremony for the construction of the Garden Animation Center. Maria Konopnicka in Bronow. Culinary Spacewhere you can taste regional dishes from the Association of Rural Women from different regions of the Łódź Voivodeship.
Concert area – the Funny Balls Theater (balloon show), the illusionist Marcin Gogołowicz and the Children’s Theater referring to the work of Maria Konopnicka will present on stage. The star of the evening will be Kuba Szmajkowski, finalist of the first edition of The Voice Kids (2017) and winner of the show Your Face Sounds Familiar (2023). Creator of songs such as Running with Lightning, Kiss of the Sun.
Entertainment area – there will be a whole range of attractions for young and old: workshops for the little ones, stands of sweets (lollipops, chocolate) and drinks, large traveling mascots referencing the tales of Maria Konopnicka, creation of original bookmarks, workshops for creating puppets in the form of dwarves, a toddler corner, etc.
The entire event will be free, but requires mandatory and individual prior registration. Participants will receive a colorful and beautifully published book containing fairy tales and poems by Maria Konopnicka with a preface by Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship. The volume of poems will include, among others: songs: “We will go to a wonderful land”, “Stefek Burczemucha”, “Our black swallow”, “Pszczółki”, “What the sun saw”, “In the forest” and many others.
