Two Indians have visited 7 continents in just 3 days. Their feat was listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Learn more about these extraordinary travelers.
At the start of 2023, we have another report of an entry into the famous Guinness Book of World Records. Earlier we wrote about the extraordinary journey of a small bird of the species fucking common, who crossed the entire ocean and traveled a distance of at least 13,560 km without the slightest rest. Today we also write about travelers, but this time it’s about people.
7 continents in 3 days
Two Indians were beaten save and visited the 7 continents of the Earth in just over 3 days. It took two daredevils just 3 days, 1 hour, 5 minutes and 4 seconds. Their feat was listed in the famous Guinness Book of Records. Two Indians: Dr Ali Irani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra broke the (also impressive) previous record in this category, which was 3 days, 14 hours, 46 minutes and 48 seconds – in 2020 world this is how fast UAE citizen Khawla Al-Romaithi spun around.
Record course
Dr. Ali Irani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra began their journey on December 4 in Antarctica and ended on December 7 in Melbourne, Australia. Along the way, they visited other terrestrial continents: Asia, Africa, Europe and North and South America. The two Indians have extensive travel experience: Irani, 64, was, among other things, a physiotherapist for the Indian national cricket team, with whom he traveled practically all over the world. In turn, the love of travel prompted Mitra to quit his job at a corporation – he became an entrepreneur running a travel-related business.
“It’s an honor to hold the Guinness World Record, but we both believe records are meant to be broken. We have completed this journey, but we still have much to accomplish. Today we hold the record, but tomorrow this record could be broken by someone else,” Mitra said.
“Traveling it allows you to cross borders and unites people around the world. Beating the world record in a discipline that fascinates us gives us great satisfaction. We are honored by this achievement and hope that somehow it will inspire more people to travel and discover our beautiful world,” added Dr Irani.
