The current vice-world indoor champion and vice-champion of Europe in the open stadium of the multi-purpose athletics stadium – Adrianna Sułek proved to be the best of this year’s “World Athletics Combined Events Tour”, collecting a $30,000 bonus! Thus, she became the second Polish woman in history who managed to win the final ranking of the best matches of the season. Previously, only Urszula Włodarczyk (1998) – now the director of the Institute of Sport – did this.
“Athletics Combined Events World Tour” is a series of the biggest multi-fight meetings of the season, divided into three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze plus the world and European championships.
The sum of the three best starts gives the final result.
In 2022, Adrianna Sulek won the May Memorial of Wiesław Czapiewski in Bydgoszcz (in the heptathlon – 6290 points, or 1132 points for the whole cycle), she finished second in the cult competition “Hypo-meeting” in the Austrian Götzis (in all seven legs – 6429 points = 1159) and fourth in the world championship in Eugene (in all seven legs – 6672 points = 1207).
In total, the Pole collected 3498 points in the 2022 season and she overtook Switzerland with 35 “points” Annik Kalin ($20,000 reward) and 89 points Emma Oosterwegel Netherlands (15,000 “green” bonuses).
He came in seventh place Paulina Ligarska – 3,235 points ($6,000).
