Josh Horowitz, Happy Sad Confused:
James Cameron once again shows the filmmakers how it’s done. I’ve said it a thousand times: never doubt him. Avatar: Aquatic Creature is a recipe for making a spectacular blockbuster. Full of emotion, intuitive and as spectacular as possible.
david sims, Atlantic:
Avatar: Aquatic Creature actually has eggs. [Podczas seansu] I slapped the seat, booed, yelled at the Na’vi to get rid of all those damn people… Avatar: a slow start, a solid build, an incredibly engaging second act full of world-building elements and cool creatures, then an hour of incredibly good, crystal-clear and emotional action that will have you coming home fulfilled and happy.
Perry Nemiroff, collider:
I was sure James Cameron would raise the bar when it came to special effects, but visually the film still blew me away. One beautiful setting after another. But the biggest reveal is how the tech stunts serve the world-building characters. Story plays a huge role in the film, and I can’t wait to revisit some of the elements – but from the first viewing, there’s an incredibly deep exploration of community and family dynamics. The previous film’s cast is excellent, but newcomers also stand out, including Britain Dalton as Lo’ak.
Yolanda Machado, Weekly entertainment:
James Cameron is a master of technology…and his direction is exceptionally precise. This masterpiece, a technological marvel with a jaw-dropping world, is the equivalent of Generation Z dance with wolves and Save Willy!
It seems Cameron’s biggest fan of the film has become… Guillermo del Toro. As the Mexican director and Oscar winner said, Avatar 2 this:
Incredible achievement – [film] it is full of majestic sights and emotions reaching the zenith. The Master is at the height of his power.
A staggering achievement – AVATAR TWOW is filled with majestic vistas and emotions on an epic, epic scale. A master at the height of his powers… https://t.co/tG6I16JlhM

However, a few voices pointed out the film’s shortcomings.
Ian Sandwell, digital spy:
As expected aquatic creature is a visual masterpiece that draws generously on the possibilities of 3D technology and is full of breathtaking views. The problem is certainly a weak plot and an overabundance of characters, but James Cameron manages to circumvent this in an extraordinary third act, full of emotion and thrilling action.
Amun Warman, Empire Review:
I liked it, but I didn’t fall in love. The good news is that the 3D is level and the action sequences are truly amazing. However, many plot elements need to be rethought, and the high frame rate for me is a misunderstanding. Nevertheless, the film is very enjoyable to watch. In general aquatic creature I liked it more than Avatar from 2009 – if only because there is less of a savior complex here.
There was also a very negative voice, belonging to Peter Bradshaw with The Guardian:
Avatar: Aquatic Creature it’s a silly, watered-down, solemn epic with fluid motion, devoid of a single interesting image.
Which critics are right? Whether Avatar: Aquatic Creature Does it really stun with visual elan and draw you in with a moving story? Or maybe the plot is as bad and predictable as in the first part? We will find out now December 16, 2022.
