Bartosz Zmarzlik – who is he?
Bartosz Zmarzlik was born in 1995. He is a student of Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski. He started his career in the sport of mini-slag speedway in the club GUKS Speedway Wawrów. He obtained a speedway license in 2010. He made his league debut on 25 April 2011 in a match against Unia Leszno, scoring 4 points.
On September 1, 2012, during the final of the World Junior Team Championship in Gniezno, in the 19th race of the competition, he suffered a serious fall, as a result of which he suffered a complicated fracture of the left leg with displacement . Thus, he had to end the season prematurely.
Since 2013, apart from Gorzów “Stal”, he represents the colors of the Swedish club Elitserien – Elit Vetlanda.
Bartosz Zmarzlik has many titles to his credit. The Polish speedway rider is Individual Junior World Champion (2015), Individual Junior European Champion (2012), Double Team World Champion (2016, 2017), Quadruple Junior Team World Champion (2012, 2014, 2015 , 2016) and double world junior team champion (2012, 2014, 2015, 2016) times European junior team champion (2013, 2014). In 2019, he became individual world champion. Thus, he became the third Pole – after Jerzy Szczakiel (1973) and Tomasz Golloba (2010), to win this title.
