CBOS asked respondents an open-ended question on which of the Polish politicians should be called Politician of the Year 2022, as an accolade for a man who “has done the best in the past year, done the most in the interest of the country and of society”.
55 percent of respondents did not name anyone they thought deserved such an accolade. Among them, 31% were people who believed that none of the politicians they knew deserved the title of politician of the year. 23 percent of respondents answered “I don’t know, I’m not interested, it’s hard to say”. 1 percent of respondents declined to answer the question.
As noted by CBOS, the remaining respondents mentioned more than fifty names of politicians and public figures, but only six of them received at least 2% of the vote. votes.

CBOS also asked Poles which of the foreign politicians operating on the world stage should be called the Politician of the Year 2022.
38 percent of respondents answered: “I don’t know, I’m not interested, it’s hard to say”; 18 percent found that there was no such policy; 1 percent of respondents declined to answer.
43 percent of respondents mentioned the name of a politician or public figure operating on the world stage who they believe deserves the title of Politician of the Year. A total of thirty-five names were submitted, but only two dominated respondents’ statements.

The CBOS study was conducted under the mixed-mode procedure on a nominative representative sample of adult residents of Poland, drawn from the PESEL register. Each respondent independently chose one of the methods: direct interview with the interviewer (CAPI method), telephone interview after contacting the CBOS interviewer (CATI) – the respondent received the contact details in the announcement letter from the CBOS , self-completed online survey (CAWI), access was possible based on the login and password provided to the respondent in the CBOS announcement letter.
In all three cases, the questionnaire had the same set of questions and the same structure. The survey was carried out from November 28 to December 11, 2022 on a sample of 1,018 people (including: 54.5% using the CAPI method, 29.8% – CATI and 15.7% – CAWI). (PORRIDGE)
