In tuesday 27 december The John Paul II Family House Museum in Wadowice and the Filharmonia im. Karol Szymanowski in Krakow invites you to concert of Christmas carols and pastorals “Malopolska Carolingwhich will take place at the Church of St. Peter the Apostle in Wadowice at 7:00 p.m.

Artists – Soloists, Choir and Orchestra of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the oratorio “Bethlehem Star over the Tatras”, whose “driving force and root cause” was the Chocholowska Valley in the Tatra Mountains – a place so close to our Patron – John Paul II.

The author of pastoral lyrics – Wiesław Nowak – from his youth emotionally connected with this Podhale Valley in 13 songs worships an extraordinary event that changed the history of the world – the birth of Jesus Christ.

The concert “Małopolskie carolling”, which will take place in the Wadowice Church of St. Peter the Apostle will be an extraordinary meeting. High-level artists will perform 13 symphonic pastorals to the music of Andrzej Zarycki.

In the second part of the event, the public will be invited to sing together the most beautiful Christmas carols, including: “In the silence of the night”, “Lulajże Jezuniu” or “In the crib lies”, thus referring to the beautiful Polish tradition of singing together.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of: His Excellency Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, Metropolitan of Krakow, Mr. Piotr Gliński, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Mr. Witold Kozłowski, Marshal of the Voivodship of Lesser -Poland, and Mr. Bartosz Kaliński, Mayor of Wadowice.
