Club Volleyball World Championship 2022: Tournament schedule. Who plays? When are the matches?

The tournament will be played at the Ginasio Poliesportivo Divino Braga in Betim. There will be six teams. However, it is difficult not to mention the prestige of these competitions. No less than three participants are clubs from Brazil, two others from Italy, and the challenge is completed by a representative from Iran.

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle – the winner of the CEV Champions League – withdrew from the game in KMŚ 2022. The decision was announced in October. The place of the Polish club was taken by Sir Safety Susa Perugia.

“With the health and safety of the players in mind, we had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament. we will have matches from the group stage of the Champions League. When making the decision, we also took into account the logistical problems that arise not only from the date, but also from the venue of the Club World Championship – admitted then the president of the club, Piotr Szpaczek.

The six teams were divided into two groups of three teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals (A1 – B2, B1 – A2). The losers will play for third place and the winners will compete in the Grand Finals.

Sir Safety Susa Perugia has a good chance of winning. Coach Andrea Anastasi’s players started the league season and Champions League matches with a bang; They also won the Italian Super Cup. Will they confirm a good disposition to Betim? How will the two Polish hosts – Wilfredo Leon and Kamil Semeniuk – present themselves? It should be noted that in November Rafał Faryna signed a contract with another KMŚ participant – Pajkan Tehran. However, the Polish striker hasn’t been included in the squad for the tournament.

The previous edition of the volleyball team was also held in Betim, in December 2021. The tournament was won by Sada Cruzeiro, beating Cucine Lube Civitanova 3-0 in the final. The MVP award went to Cuban wide receiver Sady – Miguel Angel Lopez.
