After the outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine, Poland opened the door wide to those seeking to flee the Russian invasion. Some of them have returned to the country, others have gone further, and some plan to stay longer in Poland, considering our country as a place to live and do business.
It is estimated that around 300,000 people live in Lower Silesia. Ukrainians. Even before the war, a rising trend of Ukrainian entrepreneurship was noticed in Poland. This is evidenced, among other things, by the increased activity of migrants in the field of business activity: at the end of May 2022, there were 22,344 companies with Ukrainian capital operating in Poland, of which a tenth is registered in Lower Silesia. In addition, the special law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine has opened the possibility of running a sole proprietorship.
