One of the warehouse’s halls caught fire, with flames and clouds of thick smoke rising above them at one point. According to media reports, the element destroyed one of the park’s biggest attractions, the “Pirates of Batavia” installation, as well as the themed area dedicated to Norway. The services managed to avoid panic among thousands of visitors and effectively evacuate them from the park.
Local police said the fire was now under control, but was not yet completely extinguished. Several hundred firefighters are battling the blaze.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
