Michael Schumacher’s car from 2003 sold for 13 million Swiss francs
Michael Schumacher participated in 306 Formula 1 Grand Prix races from 1991 to 2012, with a break from 2007 to 2009. He won 91 times, which was an all-time high until recently. Two years ago, that feat was bettered by Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, who has so far triumphed 103 times.
In December 2013, the German had a serious skiing accident – he fell and hit the rock hard with his helmet. He was taken to hospital, where he was put into a pharmacological coma due to brain damage. According to unofficial reports, he is so far paralyzed and unable to function independently, but his family does not discuss his health in public.
