HERE ONLY. Waszczykowski strongly about Cimoszewicz!

“The whole opposition is doing everything backwards from the government, thoughtlessly, so only backwards. If the government takes a decision, it acts blindly against it,” said PiS MEP, former leader of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. business, Witold Waszczykowski, referring to the wPolityce.pl portal to the statement by Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz on the authorization of Sergei Lavrov in Poland.

A meeting of several dozen foreign ministers from the countries of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is scheduled for 1 and 2 December in Łódź. AFP agency, citing sources from the Polish OSCE Chairmanship, reported that Poland, which is the organizer of the meeting, refused the head of Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov permission to enter in the country.

Former Prime Minister Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz raised the issue.

If I were the head of the Foreign Ministry today, I would probably let Lavrov in, but I sincerely hope that the Poles, on the streets of Warsaw, on the way from the airport to the meeting place and back , would let Lavrov know clearly what they think of him

– declared the MEP elected on the lists of the European Coalition.

We have proven by deeds what we think of Russia.”

Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz’s arguments are commented on by PiS MEP Witold Waszczykowski for the wPolityce.pl portal. The former head of the Foreign Ministry does not hide his indignation at Cimoszewicz’s statement.

I wrote about Twitterthat if I were Foreign Minister I would not let either of them in and expressed my full solidarity with the decision taken by the Foreign Office and Minister Rau

– said.

As for Cimoszewicz’s statement, it is bizarre, because it is spoken by a lawyer by training and practice, a former prime minister, former minister of foreign affairs, former minister of justice. He would break European sanctions because Russian politicians are covered

he adds.

He suggested that when Lavrov appeared in Poland, the Poles should demonstrate. Does he call for street riots?

asks MEP PiS.

Waszczykowski points out that “the Poles have clearly and repeatedly shown their position on Russian aggression for 9 months, unequivocally supporting Ukraine, sending huge quantities of weapons, humanitarian aid, accepting several million refugees Poland”.

There is therefore no need to organize demonstrations, because we have proven by our actions what we think of Russia and how we help Ukraine

he points out.

The naivety or the cynicism of Cimoszewicz?

Our interlocutor also answers if Cimoszewicz’s statement came from his naivety or rather if it was a cynical act.

It may be a bit of both. On the one hand, such a naive belief that we must maintain diplomatic contacts, dialogue, etc. Would we also talk to Hitler? Not. After waging a brutal war, the global coalition just wanted to defeat him

– says Witold Waszczykowski.

I think that sooner or later, if the brutalization of this war continues, there will be some kind of international intervention. Especially if they start doing something with nuclear power plants and that will threaten a serious nuclear disaster. Then there may be an intervention, for example closing the skies over Ukraine

he adds.

It’s surprising that they don’t learn.”

The former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out that the second reason for Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz’s controversial statement is the fact that he belongs to the total opposition.

The whole total opposition is doing everything backwards towards the government, without thinking, just to roll things back. If the government makes a decision, they’re stupidly against it

he notes.

Waszczykowski, when asked if we can expect reflection from Cimoszewicz and other opposition politicians, responds firmly:

Unfortunately no. It is surprising that they do not learn. I don’t know what has to happen, what more harm can be done to Poland, or how sharply it can escalate the conflict in Ukraine, so that the opposition will finally start to think in the interests of security Polish, and will not think of how to harm the government.
