A very serious incident occurred at Germany’s largest amusement park, Europa Park in Rust, near Freiburg, in the Baden-Württemberg region. Acrobats performed there on Monday afternoon and the accident occurred during the show.

According to information available in German media, around 5 p.m., the structure of the water attraction collapsed during the acrobatic group’s performance. The artists had to jump from a 25 meter high scaffolding into a moving swimming pool.
The wall of the pool suddenly cracked and the entire structure on which the show was taking place collapsed. Artists and spectators were injured. A total of seven people were injured, reports German television BR24. Three injured people were taken to hospital. At the moment, we do not know what their condition is.

Videos and photos of the accident were posted on social media. A spokesperson for the amusement park announced that visitors will soon be able to once again enjoy the “Atlantica SuperSplash” attraction, where the incident occurred.
According to information from the daily Bild, a serious fire broke out in June at Europa Park, leading to the evacuation of 25,000 people. Then 450 firefighters and rescue workers began to put out the fire. A police investigation is currently underway to explain the causes of Monday’s accident.
