I don’t think we’ve reached our peak

– We are playing well, but we still have a lot of things to improve. I don’t think we will reach our maximum, we can play a lot better. And the fact that we have won all the games so far is very happy – says Asseco Resovia Rzeszów center Jakub Kochanowski. On Saturday evening, the Rzeszów team will play away with the Radom team.

The game between PGE Skra Bełchatów and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów was undoubtedly one of the best games of the season so far. – No matter what hand we have, in every game where two teams from the top of the table meet, we can expect a high level of play. Regardless of the stage of the season, such matches will bring great emotions. We are playing well, but we still have a lot of room for improvement. I don’t think we will reach our maximum, we can play a lot better. And the fact that we have won every game so far is very happy – stress Jakub Kochanowski. It’s good to beat your opponent who aspires to win a medal this season. It certainly motivated us and we proved to ourselves that we can win with the best. The path we have traveled is starting to pay off, although we still have to work hard to raise our level. Then we can compete with everyone – added Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the middle. Currently, Asseco Resovia is second in the table. – The table will only be adequate to reality when everyone faces everyone. So far, the order doesn’t prove anything, as we haven’t even played half of the matches in this first round of the Main Stage. I don’t think it makes sense to follow the chart now.

Jakub Kochanowskand welcomes cooperation with Gianpaolo Medim. – Medea’s trainer is an excellent trainer, I attach great importance to details. Not only on the technical side, but purely behavioral in terms of team building. Certainly, his experience and his peace of mind in difficult situations bring us a lot. It makes no sense to dwell on previous games. Certainly this year we know each other much better and the fact that we only had to remember ourselves, and not learn from scratch, has resulted in a better start to the league – He said. This season, the vice-world champion impresses with his form, he has already won three MVP awards. – The most important thing for me is that I feel healthy, and when it comes to the number of statuettes, it doesn’t really matter. The key is the wins and the fact that at the start of the season we are not facing bigger problems. Especially the previous season showed me that without good health I cannot compete at a high level. Now I appreciate the fact that I am able to play the whole game without any harm – Kochanowski pointed out.

Jakub Kochanowski he returned to the club after winning the runners-up in the world. – We all consider this silver medal a success. After such a revolution in the national team, the change of many players, getting used to a different role in the team than in previous seasons, achieving such a result in the world championship is very happy and I think it does not will not change. Personally, I’m enjoying my recovery, which was perhaps my greatest achievement this year. However, I do not dwell on the whole season, there may be time for memories. There is so much going on now that there is no time for reflection.

Jakub Kochanowski also mentioned late Tomasz Wojtowicz. We haven’t really crossed our paths too often. The only memory I have is when the masters of the Montreal Olympics symbolically handed us the Olympic candles before going to Tokyo for the Olympics and wished us luck. It’s hard to accept that Polish volleyball legends are passing away, but they certainly won’t be forgotten. The shape of today’s volleyball is largely due to this generation, so I don’t think anyone will forget the person and character that Tomasz Wójtowicz was.
