Joanna Wolosz (captain of the Polish national team): “We are happy and we are very happy to reach the quarter-finals. We have blown the noses of all the skeptics who thought that we would organize a Poland world championship tournament, we will have + bęcki + four times and I only have to go to the pier in Sopot. And now we’re going to Gliwice and I’m really excited about it. It’s great that our group did it. I hope this will also be the start of something cool that awaits us in the future. I thought we could do something in this tournament, but I didn’t think how far we would go. This team deserves it, and it’s only been five months with this coach. »
Klaudia Alagierska-Szczepaniak (center of the Polish national team): “It’s always difficult to play with the German team. But the atmosphere in the room helped us a lot. We fought bravely today and we know that our team is going in the right direction Canada (3:2). The most important thing, however, is that we tear up our victories in the important moments. We are able to win in the tie-breaks. We are happy to have succeeded and we took advantage of our opportunities. The next step is the quarter-final in Gliwice and we want to continue writing our history.”
Agnieszka Korneluk (Polish national team center): “We have a dream quarter-final and it’s an incredible feeling for us, especially after such a hard-won victory. It’s hard to put the words together now. We would take the top eight of the world championship blind before the start of the tournament whether it’s the United States or Serbia because every opponent can be beaten, as the championships have shown.Serbs are undefeated, but in the game they lost (0:3) we certainly didn’t show all our qualities it depends on how we approach our opponent the next day we played against Serbia, we played against USA and the result was completely different.”
