Kelvin Kiptum, marathon world record holder, has died. The athlete from Kenya was 24 years old. The man died in a car accident. His trainer Garvais Hakizimana was also a victim. The Kenyan suddenly lost control of the vehicle and fell into a deep ditch.
The news of the athlete’s death was confirmed on Sunday evening by the police commander of Elgeyo-Malakwet County in Kenya, Peter Mulinge. The accident occurred on one of the local roads.
