On March 1, Lena Bröder, elected Miss Germany last year, will return to school and continue her internship to become a Catholic religion teacher in secondary schools in Münster, reports the portal katholisch.de.
She was on leave for a year because of her title. Despite specific opportunities to enter the world of entertainment and fashion, she decides to return to her educational work.
In a long conversation with the official website of the German Church katholisch.de, Lena Bröder spoke about the current challenges facing religious education and her decisions. She admitted that before participating in the Miss Germany competition, she had already completed half of her internship. She now thinks students will be especially curious about her return to teaching.
And curiosity itself is what all teachers want to arouse in students. She recalled that catechesis at school is not limited to religious and biblical themes, but also raises questions such as the meaning of life, love and death. They interest everyone. According to Lena Bröder, the beauty of teaching religion is that you can cover many topics and learning is not boring.
