The Frenchman Victor Muffat-Jeandet, who fell heavily on Saturday, has been operated on a broken nose on the Swiss side.
The verdict has fallen for Victor Muffat-Jeandet. This Saturday, the Frenchman had to be hospitalized on the Swiss side because of a very violent fall during the giant slalom that took place in Adelboden. The Habs were transported by helicopter to the hospital in Bern. This Saturday night, through his account Twitter official then communicated an initial diagnosis to the French Ski Federation: “After his fall on the Adelboden giant, Victor Muffat Jeandet suffered injuries to his nose and hand, as well as a concussion, he was treated in the hospital of Bern. Victor will not start the slalom. Leo Anguenot replaces him.” This Sunday is theAFP reports that the FFS has indicated that the skier has “successfully had surgery for a broken nose”. The governing body of national skiing also indicates that his little protégé will be “repatriated” to France during the day for an “additional examination” of his left knee.
Muffat-Jeandet was already robbed at the end of last season
The Savoyard, now 33 years old, had a very good first run this Saturday, on the Chuenisbärgli, with the seventh fastest time, despite wearing number 21. His very violent fall was then intervened at the start of the second run, after being unbalanced on a bump. His race then ended in the net, when the Frenchman saw his head hit the track. It wasn’t until this fall that Muffat-Jeandet found his place on the slopes, after a 2022 season that ended prematurely due to a fracture in one of his fibula. An injury that occurred last January during the slalom in Zagreb. A serious injury that robbed him of the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
