Izabela Leszczyna on Radio ZET tried to convince that Donald Tusk is a more anti-Russian politician than Jarosław Kaczyński, because … he looked Scholz in the eye and talked about Germany’s mistakes. Leszczyna also underlined the merits of the OP in terms of … the fight for compensation from Germany for the Second World War! Initially, his party downplayed the fight over this issue and considered it part of the PiS election campaign.
Which politician is more anti-Putin – Donald Tusk or Jarosław Kaczyński?
After yesterday’s praise in Potsdam, no one has any doubts. It was an extremely pointed speech. Tusk’s anti-Russian attitude is more truthful. He went to the Germans, looked Scholz in the eye and said: you are not behaving as you should, you have made mistakes and make amends to those you have hurt
Says Hazel.
“He could say harsh words to the Germans”
He could say harsh words to the Germans, but without hatred. We do not build walls – neither between us in Poland, nor between Poland and its neighbors
– praised its political leader Leszczyn.
Leszczyna said Chancellor Scholz was frightened by the parliamentary resolution on Germany’s compensation for World War II. She underlined the merits of this case … PO.
Chancellor Scholz, perhaps rightly, feared that the Civic Platform and indeed the entire Seym would support the resolution on compensation, which was corrected by the Civic Platform
– she says.
He was afraid that Poland was united and that in Poland everyone believed that the Germans owed compensation to everyone who had done what they had done in World War II.
– she added.
Leszczyna noted that “compensation has a very strong symbolic aspect for the Poles, but also a financial aspect”.
Leszczyna’s words are very interesting because politicians in his party were previously very skeptical about the fight for reparations from Germany. Donald Tusk himself said raising the issue was a “political campaign”. Later, however, perhaps reading the polls, he began to express himself differently on this issue.
Leszczyna also announced on the show that if the Civic Platform takes power, the Poles’ problems will go away.
Problems will magically disappear
– she says.
Listening to the statements of Izabela Leszczyna, one can reasonably suspect that soon PO politicians will create an alternative reality and accuse the PiS of the fact that the party would have liked to get along with Russia “as it is”, and that the PiS did not want to fight for reparations from Germany, which the PO was striving for.
