The first competition of the 2022/23 Ski Jumping World Cup will take place in Wisła on Saturday. Thirteen Polish jumpers, selected by coach Thomas Thurnbichler, will join the competition, including Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki and… Piotr Żyła.

The Polish team for the competitions in Wisła, besides three veterans, also included: Paweł Wąsek, Jakub Wolny, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Stefan Hula, Kacper Juroszek, Klemens Murańka, Jan Habdas, Maciej Kot, Tomasz Pilch and Andrzej Stękała. Two individual competitions at the facility named after Adam Małysz will be held on Saturday and Sunday (November 5-6).
A total of 39 competitions are planned for the 2022/23 World Cup – 32 individual competitions, five team competitions, including two mixed teams, and a novelty – two duo competitions. The highlight will be the return of cup competition to the United States after 19 years. The competition in Lake Placid is scheduled for February. The series will end on April 2 in Planica.
