Polish drone for Ukraine. 22.5 million PLN were collected

Recall that the journalist Sławomir Siarkowski initiated a major fundraiser for the purchase of a bayraktar drone for Ukraine. At the end of last July, the necessary 22.5 million were collected at a record pace and with the support and involvement of many donors.

The Turkish production drone serves, among other things, for reconnaissance, artillery guidance and direct bombardment. It is 6.5 meters long and its wingspan is 12 meters. It can stay in the air for up to 27 hours, the average cruising speed of the drone is 130 km/h, and the maximum – 220 km/h.

Sierakowski reported that bayraktar z Polish got the name “Marik”. “So say the residents of Mariupol, where they intend to return after its release. So this name is already painted in the language Polish on one side of the drone and in Ukrainian on the other” – wrote the publicist.
