Jacek Sasin in Davos: Polish companies attractive to foreign companies
On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Sasin officially inaugurated the Polish House in Davos, where the most important debates and meetings prepared by Poland are to take place during this year’s forum.
“This is the fourth Polish House at the Davos forum. This is the fourth time that Polish companies have had such a strong presence at the Economic Forum” – said Sasin.
As he pointed out, this year the opening of the Polish House takes place at a particular moment; “These circumstances are particular, but above all difficult.”
“For nearly three years, Europe and the world have been mired in constant crises that follow one another. First the pandemic crisis, which has hit the world economy so hard, then the energy crisis of an unprecedented scale. , which preceded the war in Ukraine. And then the Russian aggression against Ukraine, revealing to the whole world the nature of the Russian regime,” explained the Deputy Prime Minister.

Sasin pointed out that this year the Polish House will discuss two main topics.
“The first is the war in Ukraine and how to respond to this war, to these challenges and how to look to the future, how to think that war is not eternal, that peace always comes after war,” he said. -he declares. As he added, in this context, the talks will also focus on Ukraine’s reconstruction plans.
“The second big challenge facing the world, Europe and Poland to a large extent, is the energy transformation” – underlined the head of MAP.
As he pointed out, there is a need to respond to the energy crisis, which has recently manifested itself in jumps in the prices of traditional energy resources, such as oil, gas and coal.
“We will meet large foreign companies who want to participate in this energy transformation, want to be partners of Polish companies in this field” – he underlined. This applies to both renewable energies and nuclear energies.
“The most important thing is what awaits us, how we can meet the challenges in the areas that are most important for the future of Poland. Here in the economy, we must put the issues of energy transformation in the first place” – he underlined. As he added, security in a broad sense, including military security, is a challenge in the national dimension.
Sasin: Poland is a good country to invest
“Poland is a good country for investment, and Polish companies are attractive to foreign companies” – said Sasin.
The Polish House in Davos is a national pavilion located in the center of the Swiss resort; is to be a space for the promotion of Polish business and Polish investments. In several round tables that will take place until Thursday, more than 30 Polish and foreign politicians, experts, representatives of large companies and banks and journalists will talk about, among other things, sustainable development, the digital economy, security and the global crisis.
The Polish House, located on Promenade Street, was inaugurated in January 2019 by President Andrzej Duda, who is also this year participating in the World Economic Forum, which is held annually in the Swiss seaside resort.
The World Economic Forum will last until Friday.
