There is a lot of money behind the World Cup. These are funds spent on investments, promotion, but also a kitty for footballers. In fact, it is for the national football associations, which freely distribute the funds received and also pay the players. Because in this tournament, athletes compete for laurels, but also for large sums of money.

PLN 346,000 per head

FIFA will allocate a total of $440 million for the prizes. But the gains started earlier. For the promotion to the PZPN tournament, he received 9 million dollars, and he also paid this money (partly) to the players.

Now the bill is getting heavier. He pays $4 million to get out of the FIFA group. Players will receive half. Assuming 26 players went to the World Cup, they have $2m to split (about 9m PLN). That’s about 346,000. PLN per head.

How much will the world champions get?

Let’s face it, our participation in the tournament will rather end there. The game of the Poles does not give great chances that we go further. However, if that happened, there is $25 million for taking 4th place in the tournament.

For the bronze medal, players will earn $27 million for PZPN and themselves. Each competitor will receive more than 2.3 million PLN.

The runner-up receives $30 million and the champion $42 million. After the distribution of the money (if we become champions), each player will receive more than 3.6 million PLN.

The stakes have never been higher, as in 2018 the pool was “only” $38 million.

In addition, FIFA has allocated $209 million. for payments to clubs that send their players to Qatar. It’s 10,000 holes. per day for each player.
