Toyota Corolla and Toyota RAV4 took the first two places in the ranking of the best-selling cars in the world, according to the ranking of the analytical portal focus2move.com.
The Corolla’s first place in the list of the most popular cars in the world is the result of the delivery of 1.1 million units of this model to Toyota customers in 2021, an increase of 3.6% from a year to year. The second place belongs to the Toyota RAV4 with sales of 1 million cars. This number translates to a 1.2% increase over 2020. The podium closes the Ford F Series.
There were two other Toyota models in the top ten. Fifth place went to the Camry model after moving up 4 places. Toyota’s midsize sedan, which is offered exclusively as a hybrid in Europe, posted a 12.7% increase to 686,000 units sold.
Toyota Yaris sales increased again. The result of 589,834 units is 28.7% higher than a year earlier, pushing the Toyota city car up 6 places to seventh place.
