Dorota Borowska, a canoeist from Poland, has joined Energa’s group of sports ambassadors. Despite his young age, he has already won many victories. In 2021, in the C1 200 meter category, she won the title of European Champion and took third place at the World Championships.
Dorota Borowska trains at club MKS Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki under the supervision of Mariusz Szałkowski. Since 2014, she has won 17 gold medals at the Polish Championships, sailing a Canadian boat. Dorota is also very successful in international competitions. The kayaker won silver and bronze medals at the 2018 World Championships, brought home from Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal, and a silver medal at the 2018 European Championships in Belgrade.
– The contract with Energa will allow me to concentrate on peaceful preparations for the next Olympics – said Dorota Borowska. – The first step will be the Olympic qualifications in August 2023. In November, I start intensive training in Portugal. In addition, I will try to obtain the right to start in the Olympics with my friend in the C2 category, that is, a regulation at a distance of 500 m.
The year 2021 has been very successful for her, as she won two medals – bronze at the Senior World Championships in Denmark in the C1-200 M category and silver in the C2-200 M category, starting in the settlement with Michał Łubniewski.
At the Tokyo Olympics, Dorota Borowska took fourth place, because just before the finish line she was overtaken by a Ukrainian, Liudmila Luzan by … 0.082 seconds. In sport, on the other hand, everything is possible, as our competitor discovered when she overtook, at the World Championships in Denmark in September 2021, a Ukrainian who had stripped her of a medal in Tokyo a month earlier. Now, the canoeist’s next sporting goal is a medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
All the medals won by Dorota Borowska were the first medals in the history of Polish sport in these competitions. We are proud that such a talented player has joined the group of Energa Sports Ambassadors.
