On September 1, 2022, Piotr Parzyszek swapped Italian Frosinone for Spanish CD Leganes. The 29-year-old is not doing very well for his first season in Spain.
“Exoticism does not triumph.” Piotr Parzyszek one of the transfer failures
In the 21/22 season, Piotr Parzyszek was on loan at Pogoń Szczecin. Striker at 30. matches only scored one goal and made one assist. In the summer it was tied to Śląsk Wrocław, Widzew £ód¼ and Wisla Krakow.
Despite the failed season, at the end of the summer transfer window, CD Leganes, playing at the back of the Spanish La Liga, took an interest in him. Parzyszek has signed a two-year contract with the Spanish club. The striker joined the club on September 1, 2022, ahead of Matchday 4 of the current season against Eibar. Leganes were only included in the match squad for the 6th round match of the season against Burgos CF and played 30 minutes there. In the next two clashes with Huesca and Albacete he played after 90 minutes, but only distinguished himself by getting a yellow card. Against Cartagena and Málaga, he played a total of 11 minutes and wasn’t even included in Leganes’ squad in the last two matches.

Spanish daily ‘AS’ has created a list of summer transfers that haven’t worked out so far in the Segunda Division and put Parzyszek on it. Journalist Marcos Romano pointed to 12. players, who already before the season were called “the strangest signings”, and now Romano has bluntly declared that “exotics do not triumph”. This list includes up to nine footballers who haven’t even spent 300 minutes on the pitch, and this group includes Polish attacker. Besides him, they are: Sang-Huyuk Lee, Makhtar Gueye, Mraz, Marcelo Flores, Aceves, Musonda, Milovanovic and Bundu. In total, Parzyszek played 221 minutes, meaning he spent 27% of possible minutes on the pitch.
