SBU questioned the Russian. Two days of training and at the front
The man recounts his stay at the front, which did not last long. As he states, he arrived in Ukraine on September 13 and only 12 days later was taken prisoner. This is probably due to his poor preparation. Before arriving on the battlefield, he had only undergone “two days of training”. – They kinda rushed us to the training ground. We pulled a little and that’s it. That’s it, he repeated. He added that he was licensed to drive an infantry fighting vehicle – BMP – but, as he pointed out, “he hadn’t seen any BMP with his own eyes”.

The POW was supposed to fight in Donbass, but ended up in the neighboring region of Kharkiv. The man cannot explain how or why this happened.
Later, he also described the fighting his unit took part in in September. – Entire platoon was shot down in one minute [Ukraińcy – red.]. 20 people died – he described.
The man also rated the ad 21 September by Vladimir Putin. He called it “taking meat”. He admitted that after a possible return to Russia, he would refuse another appointment. – It is not possible. I prefer to stay in prison, he concluded.
