Advisor to the head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Anton Herashchenko, posted an unusual video on Twitter on Sunday, originally shared by Smolensk City Council councilor and blogger Maksim Baranov. In the recording, a controversial Russian politician tries to convince the world of Russia’s power.

A man in only his underpants emerges from a hole surrounded by Russian flags, holding a banner bearing the image of Vladimir Putin in his hands. According to the portal 7info.ru, the banner belongs to a separate sabotage brigade “Veterans”. The strange spectacle is accompanied by cries of triumph.

Herashchenko poked fun at the Russian’s performance. As he noted, Russia, one of the world leaders in terms of economic potential, as a country could achieve great successes, and instead it carries people like Baranov, for whom war is the opportunity to make “cribs” and collect likes on the Internet.
They could explore space, turn deserts into gardens, eradicate hunger, hunt bears with their bare hands… What else could they do? – Herashchenko ironically wrote under the video.
It turns out that even the Russians were not happy with the behavior of the Smolensk adviser. As the 7info portal reports, the residents of Smolensk were outraged by the Baranów video. Critical comments were numerous under the video of the man, shared on social networks.
Residents of Smolensk asked why such a “militant” politician is not on the front line today. In their opinion, he did it for PR – we read on the Russian portal.
Baranov is supposedly known for various eccentric actions, which does not particularly win the sympathy of citizens. In the comments, netizens reminded him of, among other things, an accident while driving a Western-branded car, and also wearing a “scarlet suit.”
