The wreckage of the Russian tank will stand in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin

The lawsuit was brought by Enno Lenze and Wieland Giebel, who run the Berlin Story Bunker museum. The tank probably cannot be placed directly in front of the embassy on Unter den Linden boulevard, because the central promenade is not designed for a 40-tonne load. According to the court, this is possible on the other side of the blocked off section of Schadowstrasse.

The initiators of the exhibition submitted an application file at the end of June on behalf of their Historiale association. The district denied the tank’s request because “people probably died” in the wreckage. Moreover, the exhibition undermines German foreign policy interests, and it is not about art. Traffic would be hampered, recalls the rbb24 portal.
