At the gala on the occasion of the Day of culture and sport of the district, players and coaches received from the starost of Nowy Sącz Marek Kwiatkowski financial rewards. In this way, the Starost, as well as the Board of Directors and the Poviat Council, appreciated their achievements this year. Every year, the county budget allocates funds for tasks related to the promotion of physical culture and sports in the Nowy Sącz region. This year it was 238,000 PLN.

Recently, we commissioned a sports hall with a shooting range at the school complex in Marcinkowice and sports facilities at the secondary school complex in Krynica-Zdrój. Next year, in Marcinkowice, we will build an outdoor, athletic part, and thus a Poviat sports center will be created. We do all of this for students and residents, creating opportunities for them to play sports.

The starost of Nowy Sącz supervises 245 associations of physical culture and sports operating in the poviat of Nowy Sącz. This year, it received honorary patronage of 10 national and international sports events, in addition, grants were awarded to 19 associations for the organization of 22 sports events in which players from the Sądecczyzna region participated. This year, 80,000 was spent on grants. zloty.

Within the framework of concern for the development of physical culture and sports and raising the level of sports training of children and young people, the Poviat Council awarded prizes to the best sportsmen of the Nowy Sącz region (a total of PLN 36,000).

Adrian Migacz: a player of the Gladiator Student Sports Club. In 2022, he won two medals at the Polish Senior Junior Kickboxing Championships in the formula: K and Full Contact weight 91 kg. He was called up to represent Poland at the Junior World Championships in the Full Contact formula in 2022.

Veronica Ogorzalek: a player of the Gladiator Student Sports Club. In 2022, she won the gold medal at the Polish Kick-light Championships 2022, weight 46 kg, and 3rd place at the Junior Cadet World Cup in Budapest in the lightcontact category, weight -47 kg.

In 2021, he took 13th place (and in 2022 – 16th place) at the Youth Skyrunning World Championships and 9th place at the Mountain Running World Cup.

Kacper Dudczak: talented athlete, mountain runner. In 2021, Kacper’s most significant achievements include 2nd place at the Polish Junior Mountain Running Championships and in 2022 – 4th place at the Polish Junior Mountain Running Championships in the Anglo-Saxon style.

Maja Kruczek: has been a player of MUKS Poprad Stary Sącz for 7 years. He has many medals from the Polish Cadet and Junior Beach Volleyball Championships. She was called up to the Polish junior national team. For high sports results rewarded with the 1st sports class of PZPS. In July this year, together with her friend, she won a bronze medal at the Polish Junior Beach Volleyball Championships.
