Users who wish to continue using application, must consent to remote access to their personal data by service personnel worldwide, including in China. TikTok has changed its privacy policy. What will Poland do?
– This decision is not technological, but strictly political. The decision-making center is therefore not the Ministry of Digitization. But I don’t think anyone is planning to block TikTok in Poland – noted Cieszyński at the start. US bans TikTok?
December 19 Reuters Agency reported that so far, 19 out of 50 US states have at least partially blocked access to TikTok on government computers. However, some members of Congress believe the app should be banned nationwide. On the same day, TikTok released a statement expressing disappointment “that so many states are succumbing to the political fad to pursue policies based on baseless lies.”
As the agency points out, talks regarding the national security pact, conducted between US officials and TikTok, have been going on for months. The application is used by more than 100 million users in the country.
