At the beginning of November, the camping portal PiNCAMP, which is part of ADAC, analyzed the travel preferences of vacationers and, based on reviews on campsite websites and user ratings, compiled a list of 100 most popular campsites in Germany and Europe.

What does this mean for Polish tourists and caravanners? Well, the popularity index is directly linked to the attractiveness of the place, which allows us to assume or even be sure that the standard of campsites preferred by other European travelers will be very high. In short, it is a guarantee of travel satisfaction and a feeling of money well spent.

So, what are the results of this analysis? Well, among the choices of German tourists, Italian and Croatian campsites are invariably very popular, and among them is the leader in the ranking of the most popular German caravanners – Camping Park Umag.

Croatia and Italy also dominate European preferences – here Camping Park Umag is also a leader.

So what does the top ten most recognized campsites look like? The order of the top 10 most popular locations among PiNCAMP users in Europe 2022 is as follows:

1. Camping Park Umag (Croatia, previous year: 34th place)

2. Villaggio Turistico Internazionale (Italy, previous year: 68th place)

3. Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals (Germany, previous year: 1st place)

4. Zaton Holiday Resort (Croatia, previous year: 6th place)

5. Centro Vacanze Pra’ delle Torri (Italy, previous year: 46th place)

6. Camping Bijela Uvala (Croatia, previous year: 36th place)

7. Südsee-Camp (Germany, previous year: 45th place)

8. Aminess Maravea Camping Resort (Croatia, previous year: 4th place)

9. Camping Marina di Venezia (Italy, previous year: 28th place)

Among the preferences for choosing a campsite, the possibility of booking online turns out to be a determining criterion for campers.
