Town Lublin encourages future engineers and creators in the creative sector to develop technical skills and abilities within the framework of the new project “The student of the future”. The initiative is underway in cooperation with Lublin University of Technology.
– As European Youth Capital, we meet the expectations of future engineers and creators in the creative sector. The “Student of the Future” project is aimed at students and teachers. We start with workshops for educators on the use of modern equipment purchased by schools. The next steps in school workshops, entrepreneur visits and workshops await us. We want to inspire young people with curiosity about the world and show them the possibilities offered by new technologies – he says Beata Stepaniuk-Kuśmierzak, deputy mayor of the city Lublin for Culture, Sport and Participation, Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of the City Lublin European Youth Capital.

Workshop topics will include 3D printing techniques, programming microcontrollers, using audiovisual equipment and techniques, or soldering techniques. Classes with teachers will take place on the university campus and will be used for this purpose the modern 3D printing laboratories, the Internet of Things or the Pollub.TV studio. – Teachers are expected not only to have professional training and knowledge of the subject taught, but also to constantly improve their qualifications. It is a space for the creative use of innovative technologies and where you can learn from adult specialists, as well as from each other. In such a place, created in schools, students will develop their technical skills and learn to combine them with creative thinking.
