The Versius robot was the hero of the “Innovation in Medicine” conference held in Katowice. Leading doctors and specialists spoke about how technology helps doctors.
For the moment, he is not hospitalized in any hospital in the province. Silesia. – However, we are in very advanced talks with many hospitals – recognizes Przemko Karpiński from CMR. Versius was developed by scientists and medical engineers at CMR Surgical (CMR). It is a British medical technology company. Versius has three robotic arms, modeled on a human hand, which improve the surgeon’s work. With their help, surgery is performed less invasive and safer. It is intended for minimally invasive surgical procedures. It consists of a mobile endoscopic column with integrated camera, as well as three tool-carrying arms and a console behind which the doctor carries out the operation in a standing or seated position. It can be used in oncological microsurgery in the field of urological, gynecological and general surgical treatment.
