Marcin Janusz did not hide his joy after his victory with the Americans.

– We are progressing in this World Cup with each meeting. After the first two wins against not the strongest rivals, we were now playing with the strongest team in our group, but also one of the best teams in the whole tournament. We did not calculate, we won this game, which we are very happy about – Kędzierzyn-Koźle told ZAKSA volleyball players.

The first lost set did not break the Poles.

– I think we didn’t play it badly at all. We kept it under control for most of this game, but for a while we got stuck on a setup or two and it ended when it ended. This is volleyball and such moments happen, but the best teams, and we consider ourselves such, do not collapse and return to their normal level in the next game – said the quarterback.

Marcin Janusz, after a successful end to the group competition, is looking forward to the knockout stage with optimism.

– We showed in the group stage that we are capable of winning with everyone. Of course, now we can find teams in the confrontation with which we will not be a big favorite, but we also know perfectly well that we are in the group of teams which has the right to aim for the highest goals in this tournament. – added the 28-year-old player.

The Polish player once again underlined the great role of our fans.

– Spodek fans help us in difficult times and motivate us to play even better. The value of those fans is huge, and there’s something magical about Spodek. It’s new to me, but I feel very comfortable here. Polish fans are the best in the world and this tournament once again confirmed that – said Marcin Janusz.
